A rare place that harmoniously combines the art of gardening, a mosaic of heritage and the history of Languedoc and Provence since the 6th century! The abbey's gardens, which have been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label, are set between the remains of the Romanesque churches and the 6th century tombs: Mediterranean plants, olive trees and century-old pines.... On the heights, these balcony gardens offer a panoramic view of the Palace of the Popes in Avignon.

Exhibition, Edens by Cyril Destrade
From date 31 August to date 30 October 2022
With a resolute optimism, the artist Cyril Destrade presents here his latest works, alternating between ink, acrylic, watercolour or pastel on canvas and paper. The line is spontaneous, the colour palette transparent and intense at the same time. The warmth of the colours and the spontaneity of the almost choreographic expression create a plant-like, liquid and luminous world that constantly oscillates between abstraction and narration. Edens transports the public into the flourishing imagination of this artist who has seduced the great houses with which he regularly collaborates. This exhibition reveals the stages of creation, notably by comparing the objects of the table services created for the Gien faience factory with the original drawings and preparatory sketches that served as models for their creation. Watercolours commissioned by Hermès are also presented.
