Do you really know the Palace of the Popes in Avignon? Did you know that it is the biggest Gothic palace in the world! That it was built in less than 70 years by the Popes, and that today there are 25 rooms open to your visit? That it also served as a military barracks, and is used as a theatrical stage, a cultural setting for prestigious exhibitions?

The visitor can see over 20 rooms, scenes of historic events, in particular the pope’s private chambers and the frescoes painted by the Italian artist Matteo Giovannetti. The Popes’ Palace also offers the visitor continuous cultural activities throughout the year.
The ticket includes the visit of the Palace of the Popes as well as the histopad which is a touch pad that allows to live a temporal immersion in the major parts of the monument, entirely re-constituted as they could be in the 14th century.
Each visitor must go to the line for pre-paid tickets and present their Avignon City Pass or Vaucluse Provence Pass.

VISIT INCLUDED IN THE PASS
Each visitor must go to the line for pre-paid tickets and present their Avignon City Pass or Vaucluse Provence.
-From January1st to March 31st and from November 7th to December 31st: 10am to 5pm (last time slot 4 Pm)
-From April 1st to June 30th and from September 1st to November 6th: 10am to 6pm (last time slot 5 Pm)
-From July 1st to August 31th: 10am to 7pm (last time slot 6 Pm)
During High Season, reservation possible of the last time slot only on site at the ticket office of the Palace of the Popes.

Due to a large number of steps, the visit to the monument is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
