Museum and La Filaventure shop
Brun de Vian-Tiran: lovers of fine materials made in France will recognise the name of the oldest spinning mill, still in operation in France. For 8 generations and over 2 centuries, the Brun family has travelled the world in search of the finest wool, transforming them in their factory in l’Isle sur la Sorgue. A shop and interactive museum have just opened to tell the story of this wonderful adventure.
The shop and its museum, where visitors embark upon a multi-sensory experience, is located along the canal of Comtadine Venice, in a wing of the two-hundred-year-old family-run factory. Pierre and Jean-Louis Brun, the 7th and 8th generation now at the helm of the company founded in 1808, wanted to share their passion for noble fibres and the rare craft of "wool making", a time-honoured trade that transmits the
values of local know-how, solidarity, sustainability and eco-responsibility, for the softest blankets that are kind to our planet.
