Museum of the Lavender, Coustellet-Cabrières d'Avignon

The Lavender Museum is a must for all nature lovers interested in true fine lavender. The Lincelé Family initiated this fabulous project in 1992, and leads the visitor to discover the 'true lavender of Provence, fine lavender. The visit takes you through a rich collection of lavender stills from the 16th century to the present time, and is commented in 11 foreign languages on the audio-guides, leaving visitors free to visit the museum in keeping with their interests. See all the rooms, the collections, the projection room with documentaries filmed at the Chateau du Bois at the base of Mont-Ventoux, on planting, harvesting and the distillation of fine lavender from Haute Provence. Count on an hour for the visit, to take full advantage of the fragrance and virtues of lavender.

Set in a prestigious location, with its large stone Provencal mansion and Mediterranean garden of lavender and olive trees, this veritable conservatory of Provençal lavender invites you to visit and discover the emblematic flower that is genuine Provençal lavender.

Opening times: 
- April, May and June: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, 7 days a week.
- July and August: 10am to 7pm (reception closes between 1pm and 2pm), 7/7 Days
- September, October, November and December: from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm, 7/7 Days
Last admissions 1 hour before site closes.
Closed in January and February

The Producer shop remains open 7/7 Days:
- January to March inclusive: by appointment, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 12pm and 2pm to 5.30pm.
- April, May and June: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm
- July and August: 10am to 7pm non-stop
- September, October, November and December: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm
